I don't know anyone who does not love The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. I think it is one of those timeless books that will just be around forever teaching children about the days of the week and counting.
So I made a felt story to go along with the book. We started at the very beginning "Int the light of the moon..."
Our caterpillar appears
eats through one apple
two pears
three plums
four strawberries
five oranges
An array of tasty treats...not all are very good for you
after his tummy ache a nice green leaf is just what our caterpillar needed
He is no longer a little caterpillar but a big fat caterpillar who builds himself a cocoon
before turning into a beautiful butterfly!
