Polar Bear Polar Bear Felt Board Story

I love making felt board stories. Some of my favorite to make are Eric Carle stories. He uses simple images that are easy to recreate in your own way with a simple sialogue easy to remember for story telling I made my own animals using the same colors as the Eric Carle Story Polar Bear Polar Bear is a great story to demonstrate different sounds and the whole concept of listening and auditory learning.

Brown Bear Brown Bear

Brown Bear Brown Bear is a great story for color recognition and repetition. My kids love this story! So I turned it into a felt story using the colors and same animals from the story These were pretty easy to make and the story is an easy one to remember. You don't always have to go in order although we always start with Brown Bear but from there we kind of just do whatever animal we like I know there no pink bunny in the original story but I always kind of felt like it needed one. Maybe later I will add a gray squirrel I always felt it needed one of those too.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

I don't know anyone who does not love The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. I think it is one of those timeless books that will just be around forever teaching children about the days of the week and counting. So I made a felt story to go along with the book. We started at the very beginning "Int the light of the moon..." Our caterpillar appears eats through one apple two pears three plums four strawberries five oranges An array of tasty treats...not all are very good for you after his tummy ache a nice green leaf is just what our caterpillar needed He is no longer a little caterpillar but a big fat caterpillar who builds himself a cocoon before turning into a beautiful butterfly!
